The Malverne Volunteer Ambulance Corps is a New York State Certified Advanced Life Support Agency. MVAC staffs two advanced life support (ALS) ambulances that provide the highest level of care available to our residents in New York State. Each ambulance is equiped with a state of the art automated external defibrillator (AED) along with the latest ALS defibrillator and external pacemaker. In additon each ambulance is equipped with life saving medications. Recently, the MVAC was the first EMS agency on Long Island to use technology developed by NASA to constantly regulate the storage tempurature of these medications regardless of environmental conditions. Each ambulance is able to communicate with Nassau County Medical Control physicians in addition to our surrounding Fire Departments and Police Departments in the case of mutual aid.
